This is a fun class geared for those who are still new to the djembe, who haven't played in a while. You'll learn the basic strokes, good technique while playing some easy rhythms to get you comfortable on the drum.
Drum Circle Grooves
Wednesdays 7:15-8:30pm $10
A fun multi level class where you'll learn easy African based grooves to take to the drum circles and help you feel confident joining in
West African Drum Class
Wednesdays 4:30-5:45pm $10
Intermediate Level Class for those with experience on the djmebe. We incorporate more complex African polyrhythms, breaks and solos. We'll include the bass drums, bells, shekeres and songs, and jam together at the end of class.
Ballet Style African Bass Drumming
2nd & 4th Saturday $10
African bass drums are traditionally played horizontal with a bell, one drum to one drummers. Sometimes it was required for one drummer to play all three drums uptight in the African Ballet Companies, which is where the name came from.

The Beat Goes On Percussion Ensemble
Thursdays 4:30-5:45pm $10
This drum class focuses on rhythms learned and puts them into performance choreography. If you are a Beat Goes On student who would enjoy performing at local events, this class is designed for you.
Fifth Friday Pot Luck & Drum Circle
Every month that has a 5th Friday we have a Pot Luck & Drum Circle. Bring drums of any kind, we have lots of fun percussion instruments to share as well. Always a fun time breaking bread and creating rhythms with friends!
Instructor Linda Howe has been playing the Djembe for 10 years, is passionate about drumming and sharing the joy it brings to people of all ages!
She often has guest teachers take over her class, so her students can experience and benefit from various instructors.
